Big Balls

BIG BALLS

...how are they made

Each candleholder is handcrafted from solid heartwood spheres and copper tubing. The wood spheres are individually dipped in alternating layers of enamel color and to every five layers of clear.

At least 35 layers of color and gloss are required to achieve the fluid depth that is characteristic of the balls.

These candleholders can be produced in a wide variety of color combinations, shapes, and sizes. The tubing can be manipulated for one or two candles, and multiple pieces can be combined to create candelabra, and amazing sculptural centerpieces.

How to care for your BIG BALLS

Your new set of BIG BALLS are durable yet lightweight. After several weeks the copper will darken to a rich golden brown.

Try to extinguish your candles before they burn completely down. As with any candle holder, this makes it difficult to remove the remaining wax from the inside of your BIG BALLS.

What if I let wax drip over the ball?--Place balls in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. The wax may now be easily chipped or rubbed off ( using a hand towel to rub around the ball is most effective).

Can I wash them?-- Use a warm damp cloth to wash (submerging in water causes the finish to deteriorate)

What if I bend my balls out of balance?--Place them on a table top and gently but firmly press down until the balls are where you want them.
